Dimension instead of one all-over colour

These approaches may suit you if you want lighter-looking hair without the same shade from roots to ends. With a naturally deeper base, some depth can be retained while lightness is placed through the lengths and around the face. The amount of hair to lighten is agreed individually. Subtle strands create a different result from bright ends that make up a large part of the style.

This does not mean colour without care or follow-up appointments. The tone can change, and the blend between natural and coloured hair depends on the design. Say how often you would like to refresh your hair, and whether you usually wear it straight, wavy or tied up.

Understanding balayage, ombré, sombré and root shadow

Balayage is associated with lightening selected sections and placing brightness to create variation in tone. The application method is chosen for the hair; the name alone does not describe every possible tool or stage. Ombré emphasises a transition from a darker upper section to lighter ends. Sombré takes a softer approach, usually with less contrast and a more diffused blend.

Root shadow deepens or tones the root area to soften its transition into lighter sections. It can complement highlights, but does not replace them. A photograph is useful for showing where you want the brightness to begin and how much natural depth you would like to keep.

Planning the appointment and allowing enough time

The first step is to assess your base colour, condition and colour history. The placement of lighter sections and the degree of contrast are then agreed. After application and the appropriate processing time, the product is rinsed out. Toning refines the shade of the lightened base; if root shadow is part of the plan, the root area is worked on separately. Conditioning and styling then allow the blends to be viewed on dry hair.

The example plans for balayage and for ombré/sombré each allow approximately 210 minutes. Correcting old colour, high density or very long hair can change the plan. Describe the length and previous colouring when booking so the appointment time reflects more than the technique's name.

Looking at how the colours blend

It helps to assess the transition on both wavy and straight hair. Waves bring out differences in lightness and soften visible boundaries, so a similar colour may look different after a simple blow-dry. Blonde photographs do not all show the same technique. Your plan depends on what needs to happen to your current base, beyond the overall impression of a photograph.

If earlier colouring has left bands through the lengths, evening them out may take additional stages. Leaving a darker root does not automatically remove every visible line. Hair already weakened by lightening may need a gentler plan rather than another intensive change.

Care and colour refresh appointments

Lightened sections need gentle washing, conditioning suited to the lengths and care with heated styling. Detangle from the ends, avoid pulling and do not rub vigorously with a towel. Choose purple or blue colour-depositing products for the actual shade, following their instructions: warmth is not always unwanted, and too much pigment can leave the colour looking dull.

Your next appointment may not require every highlight to be lightened again. Sometimes a toner refresh or a small adjustment in one area is enough. Agree the plan after looking at the regrowth and the condition of the ends. Root shadow does not stop hair growing, but can soften the visible transition between appointments.

Preparation, tests and example prices

Mention previous henna, home dyes, lightener and smoothing treatments. A strand test may help assess how the hair responds. An allergy alert test follows the requirements of the manufacturer of the product being used; these two tests serve different purposes. If your scalp is irritated or damaged, contact the salon before the appointment.

The balayage price from 400 zł is an example and must be confirmed. The demo list also gives an example price from 380 zł for ombré/sombré. These figures do not cover every correction or any combination of techniques. Call 663 304 091 to agree the actual service. The salon is at ul. Szczecińska 3/4 in Goleniów.

Before your visit

What should I choose to avoid a strong regrowth line?

Discuss the placement of fine highlights, a gentle contrast and, if appropriate, root shadow. Matching the root colour to your base matters more than the service name alone.

Does balayage always have to be blonde?

No. The lightness and tone can be more subtle, such as caramel on a brown base. The amount of lightening depends on the contrast you want and what your hair can accommodate.

Can root shadow be added to an existing blonde?

Sometimes, but the colour boundaries and hair condition need to be assessed. Deepening the roots should create a considered blend rather than an unplanned dark band.

Are the photographs before-and-after comparisons?

No. The supplied photographs show finished hairstyles. In parts of the gallery, two photographs are different views of the same transformation, rather than earlier and later stages.
